I am buying an new computer this week and i want to know what would be the best motherboard i will be over clocking cpu, ram, video card. I have a 2,000 dollar budget.
e8500
9900's/4 when released(i will be using 8600Gt temporary that i was laying around)
8gb ddr2 800 ocz sli edition
seagate barracuda 500gb 7200RPM 32mb
DvD burner with lightscribe
vista ultimate 64 bit
$300 for a mobo doesn't seem like a lot to me but if you all are right and better specs, performance, and usability can be had for half the price there's not reason to pay double the price. ...except brand loyalty and that's not a good reason for most.

There aren't any x48 motherboard for half of $230. It's about as low as it gets.
