I'm building a gaming PC for a friend of mine and he gave me a budget of up to $600 to build him one. He plans on gaming on his 19 inch monitor and play COD4,RF online, and UT3 at max settings or almost near that.

He is undecided on the case and he is looking at mid tower cases. so i dont know. but here is my idea..going with AMD on this one maybe Intel could be possible too.. so im missing a case. he is aware of the build price of what i showed him so he knows the rough budget for his PC case he should be looking for.

total price without shipping $577.93
without PSU $517.94

He might be willing to spend more on the case but im concerned on the parts so i would like your opinions and any criticisim :D

So please any opinions would be greatly appreciated. If it is possible to build an intel build for roughly the same price for the same performance that be really cool as he is an intel fan but doesnt mind AMD for the budget he is on.

Yeah, an Intel E2160 would be much better for a budget build.

Put one of those in a Gigabyte P35-DS3L with 2 GB memory and the video card that you already have picked out and you will have a killer gaming system. Tom's benched this processor as on par with an E6850 when overclocked to ~3.2 GHz.

You can do that with the stock cooler.

Either one of these Corsair's are better PSU's;

For $5, I'd go with the 550
You can get an Antec P182 for $70 after rebate;
