ok, i bought my Q6600 Processor with 4 gb kingston hyperX + coolermaster Hyper 212 + Asus P5QL-Pro motherboard recently. The shop said that the motherboard is fine for overclocking but when i search for P5QL-pro on the forum, some post said that the mobo is not good for overclocking. This is my first time for overclocking and i need u guy's oppinion about my motherboard. I realy need to overclock my CPU up to 3.2ghz but afraid that my mobo can't do it. So sad
:(

That board will allow you to overclock. It may not be the uber overclocker that some of the other boards are, but it should be able to run at 3.2 with no problems. There are stickeys on the forums for how to do it, but I would start with stock voltage and set the FSB from 266 to 333. That will bring you to 3Ghz. Assuming thats stable, work your way up from there.

The Board is specified for a fsb of 400mhz,
so that won't be the problem..

And you can adjust V-Core, V-Mem, V-FSB, V-NB/SB, RAM-Timings and few other things...

As blackened14 said, it's not the uber oc-board, but not bad though

I've got an E7200 @ 3700mhz @ 1,3V (410*9) running on it primestable

But don't get over FSB 410 atm..don't know weather the DDR2-800 RAM or the Board is the limiting factor :/

Its the board, my q8200 or e7400 with ddr2-400mhz or ddr2-800mhz ram wont go past 410, it must be the board.
