What do you think of these two cases? They are very similar in features:
>Good cooling
>Dual PSU
>ATX and ATX
>Full tower
>Aluminum
>Removable motherboard tray
>Winows in side panel (see below)
1) The Silverstone TJ07, as I would more or less have it, mine would be red not pink, but you get the idea:
^ Silverstone TJ07 with system built in it.
2) The Lian-Li PC-A71B, I would purchase the top panel mod that allows for 2 120mm fans to be installed and the side panel mod that has a window in it. It would look like this, with 2 fans on top:
^ Stock without the door (PC-A70)
^ Stock with door. (PC-A71)
antec 900
(i dont know at all, just felt like annoying someone)
I own an Antec 900, yes I am upgrading. I will accept any comments really, also what Cooler Master case had dual PSUs?? I can not figure out which one it is. Also the door is removable on the Lian-Li so I will update my original post with a picture of it without the door.

CoolerMastr Stacker TO-1 has the dual PSU,fits all MB's even the large multi CPU MB's,11 bays.
It is also the one you can install the optional Crossflow Fan that draws cool air from the side of the case and moves it over the whole MB in a 1" high wave.
The rear fan grill comes off with 4 screws boosting airflow over 80%.
Still the most functional and best cooling case made.
These are the cases I have listed in my profile...systems have 50% OC and only reach 4C over room air with air cooling.
they all look awsome
I would go with either the Stacker or the Lian Li both are reputable well built cases. although if you were in the 200 range on a case i would go with this instead.

That thing is hideous.... lol.
Lol, sure its not totally pretty, but 10-120 mm fans, and 2 seperate computers in the case not to mention the hardrive capabilities is something that catches the eye.
If I wanted something like that I would just build my PC in big ol' buckets of vegatable oil.
blacksci what is a Q6660? its in your sig, possible spelling error.
Wow, people actually spend over $200 on a case? And yeah, those are all hideous.
Ill be getting a Lian Li PC-A70B in just over a week (when i get paid) so im very partial to it, but ive seen a Silverstone TJ-09 in person and they make NICE cases also

I've used a TJ09, and it was built well... but so is my file cabinet. Cooling and just general feel/looks of the case were disappointing. It really just comes down to the specifications and I should have been more picky, like now.
Yeah people actually spend over $200 on a case, those people who don't want to upgrade their case in 10 years or so, saving a lot of money. So yeah, people do spend over $200 for a case, just because you can not, or did not does not mean that its dumb to want something that will last, when every other thing in a computer is changed out.

You know, the motherboard 10 years from now might not fit the screw placement on the case's backplate. Cases from 10 years ago don't fit now.
There are lots of things to spend the extra $150 on, like... a faster cpu.
Sure it might not fit, thats why god invented a dremel and a tap. That way you can drill your own holes, tap them, and presto installation is a snap after that, next time come up with a better argument.
Why would you "upgrade" you're case.... what's wrong with a Antec 900? Spend your money on a fancy dinner w/ you're girlfriend. Save it for a trip. Donate to a charity. Or at least SLI something or upgrade your computer! Who cares about the case??
Yup, thank you for saying it for me blacksci.

You're assuming they have girlfriends.

forgot that this was Tom's Hardware forums, and not real life.
If you don't feel like paying a good bit for the box that has to sit in your living room, and that houses multi-thousand dallors worth of computer investment, then don't. I do, that is my decision, your opinion is not absolutely right and I know many people can be plenty happy with an Antec 900 or another case of great value such as it, I can not. If you want to insult somone and be immature then don't do it here, this forum, and more specificly this thread, is where mature people look for mature answers to their questions.
Well aside from the fact that dagger has only his hand, most people want to put more into the case then it can fit. If i wanted to get more hardrives then 6 for instance, then the antec would no longer serve the purpose, or i decided i wanted another computer for my firewall router lets say, i can install it in the same case.

But they're so ugly! How can you bare to put it in your living room, to be seen by PEOPLE? Something like that needs to be hidden in the deepest reaches of your basement, where teh 1337 ppl spend their lives.
Please explain, good sir, how my opinion was immature. Well, regardless, I think the Silverstone TJ07 is a better case. Looks better all around, and is just as good, if not better, then the other one.
And btw, if you consider a computer as an "investment", then you're wasting your money bro. Most times, two years from now a $4000 computer will be worth $1000.

Yep, it's entertainment, an expenditure. And yeah, the Silverstone is the least ugly case among them.
"investment" is just a term, and it also shows how the enthusiasts always get screwed over in the end. Also I did not mean you, but more dagger, who tried to insult me. Also the cool thing about something being ugly or good looking is that it is an opinion:
Opinion is "A personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty; "my opinion differs from yours"; "what are your thoughts on Haiti?"." ~ Webster Dictionary website.
So... I like the looks of the cases, you don't, ok.

Actually I was thinking more of what your family and friends considers "good looks," since you mentioned placing it in your living room. Good looking is defined by the opinions of people who matter to you, aka, the non-1337 people.
Actually it will be in my own room, the living room was just for a dramatic example.
dagger what are you 14? comeon if your going to insult someone, at least do it with some style. As far as starting to bring another persons family into the conversation, thats pretty low, why dont you go get a pair. A computer is a investment, for entertainment vaule i.e. i can spend 1200 dollars on a computer and then play it for the next 3 years, which would be my return of my investment.
in·vest·ment Audio Help /ɪnˈvɛstmənt/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[in-vest-muhnt] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. the investing of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value.
2. a particular instance or mode of investing.
3. a thing invested in, as a business, a quantity of shares of stock, etc.
4. something that is invested; sum invested.
5. the act or fact of investing or state of being invested, as with a garment.
6. a devoting, using, or giving of time, talent, emotional energy, etc., as for a purpose or to achieve something: His investment in the project included more time than he cared to remember
The profitable return would be the hours of enjoyment you get from said investment, doesnt have to be cash.
Heh, blacksci stop copying me lol, the dictionary is my weapon! Also lets just let it go, we all have opinions (refer to my post for the definition). He has his, I have mine, you have yours, exct. He really did not bring the "family" into the conversation, he just stated that my family might not like the looks of either case, which is very possible.
Lol, worked up on things that don't matter. Enjoy you case.
Also, I'm not a he, though it's a moot point on the internet.
Well, I didn't have $200 for my latest case, so I'm hoping the CoolerMaster 690 I chose ($85?) will survive for a nice long time, i.e. multiple builds.
Main reason im getting the A70b is because it has 10 internal 3.5 bays for hard drive out of the box, seeing as ill have 9 in there once i get them all in i think i need the room without and removables or 5.25 conversions. Oh and 6 120mm fans also now thats nice and cool
And i think the brushed aluminum black finish looks sexy ( i think my girlfriend is sexy too but thats a different kind of sexy haha )
Considering my last 3 cases cost me over $200 ( AU ) when i bought them, and the fact that companies make so many enthusiast cases that are over $200 there is obviously a market for them.
Over 400 people have looked and only 16 have voted....
| The_Blood_Raven wrote : Over 400 people have looked and only 16 have voted.... |
Maybe if you add the option "neither," there'd be more votes.
HAHA well i viewed about 4-5 times and never voted... so i have now
The A71 i chose but i would prefer the A70 cause i hate doors now
I would get the A71, just because its the same price and if I do not like the door I will just take it off.
If you do not like either case then I am open for suggestions, just not the Antec 900.
Save your cash and get the Antec P-180 or 182 for a hunnerd less.....
Time for a couple of cliches;
1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
2. Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.
Note: I voted for the Lian-Li.
Sad paying $200+ on a $50 dollar case. I search quite alot to find a better case when i was getting one. The P182 was interesting, but i decided on this case. http://www.spirecoolers.com/main/p [...] ProdID=529
It was larger then the so-called mid tower, and perfect for a few modifications. Nice amount of room, without the huge holes in the sides to allow ALL the noise out of the case.
Owned the P-182, CM 830, Tt Armor, Silverstone TJ09, and the Xclio WT, I did not like any except the TJ09, but the cooling was not as good as I wanted.

That thing weights a ton...12Kgs??? made out of solid steel
Lian Li A70 weights only 7.9kgs.
If you wait just over a week Blood Raven i can give you some measurements with Q6600 with 9 hdd and e6600 with 8800gt with thermalright cooling
Thanks cookman, even though I'm pretty sure I can fit almost anything in either case, the measurements would be nice.
HI Blood
I'm kinda in the same boat as you.I've been looking at many cases latley. One that comes to mind is the Lian-li p80(The Gamming version)I've read its was kinda of loud though.
Both Cases you've picked out are classy IMHO.The two cases are very close ,hard to say which one is better.I've been looking at those two.
Dust Filters are important
A quiet case never hurts
Bigger is better...Even if for the cooling alone.
Something sharp to look at is bonus.
10 Expansion slots are a good idea(Even if you don't use SLI you will have extra room to work with..and you never know ...MB makers may start making Boards Bigger and Bigger)I want a case for the long Road ahead as well.
A case that sections of the motherboard from the power supply and what not.The Silverstone may just edge out the Lian-Li for that reason.Just my Op.
