How much of memory that Window XP need

I install 6G in my PC that running XP and I saw only 2G

WinXPx86 can only see and use ~3.5GB of total memory, including the RAM, your video card, and CPU cache memory. It's the way MS made it all those years ago. WinXPx64 does not have that limitation, it's memory registers can see and use much, much more memory.

In addition to the WinXP 32 bit limitation, ensure that your motherboard can support all the ram you added.
