Totally format hard drive and reinstall windows xp

Hello,
i would like to format my hard drive totally, however, i do not have the windows cd as it was pre installed in my computer. how do i go about installing it back after formatting the hard drive fully?

If you don't have the installation CD, and the manufacturer did not create a hidden restore partition on your HDD, you will have to buy the XP installation cd.
