More about problems upgrading
  1. 1) The USB drive is not USB 2.0
    2) The port you plugged it into is not USB 2.0 (most keyboard mounted USB ports are 1.1).
  2. Don't start 2 identical threads at once.

    Bios Settings? Rubbish MSI
  4. Just go into Device Manager and update the USB Driver (while connected to the Web).

    ?
  7. I find it very hard to believe that the USB drivers that came with the mobo are the problem. It is considerably more likely that he has a USB 1.1 memory stick. Not to mention, any hardware updates "should" have been pushed by MS during the updates. Of course you know how that goes.
