My husbands computer keeps having issues after about 1 hour of gaming in Counter Strike, his mouse and keyboard don't follow his inputs, his character in the game will just like wander off and not do anything. His ASUS chipset fan had died so after waiting weeks for the fan we replaced it. Still no difference. Got new keyboard and mouse no difference. Got a new power supply because the fan in his died, no difference. Even swapped out his video card (ATI X800) with my sons (XFX7600GT), no difference. Could the motherboard or chipset have been damaged when the chipset fan died? We are chasing our tails and need some suggestions.
Thanks
Kelli

Uninstall the game, reboot, re-install the game.

If either keyboard or mouse are wireless, replace the batteries.
If he immediately goes into something else like a Word Processor, do the mouse and keyboard behave normally?
This sounds more like a defective mouse than anything else. Try a different one.
