I'm not sure about this as i don't have a commercial Panny, but i
seem to remember reading that you can go into the TV's user menu
and change the type of signal on the RGB input to COMPONENT. Surely
there is information in the plasma's owners manual.
You should go to the Plasma/LCD flat panel forum at www.avsforum.com there is more Panasonic owners there than all other places on the
internet combined :-)

Connections are ok. Finally got a hold of cable company and they want me to
return the cable box for the 8300 series. Tech stated could be some kind of
compatibility problem... Will do that this morning...
Does anyone know what the HD & VD inputs are for?

They are synchronization signals - - horizontal drive and vertical drive.
Some older or professional color monitors required 5 cables - - R, G, B, HD
and VD.
