New X38 build

Ok so i love my P35 system, but that is going to the wife for her new work box.

I am sticking with the E6750 just because of 8400 availability.

I am only going 1 video card for now, but will upgrade later.

I am dead set on using OCZ Reaper memory (reliable and cool), and a 9700 Zalman cpu cooler.

This is my issue.

I need a motherboard that will let me put all that on it. The memory slots are looking a little close to the cpu to handle the reaper heatpipes and the 9700 cooler. I really like the Gigabyte mobos, but am not sure about clearance.

Any help would be great.

Or E3110 which is the same as E8400.

Is it DDR2?
