Hello, I just got a new computer (arrived half an hour ago, and it wont boot. I turn on the computer, and the CPU fan spins, but nothing other then that. No beeps, no nothing :( Is there anything I can do? I bet it's the bios :|, but if it was, wouldn't the fan not even spin?

Double check your wiring. Also make sure your PCIe power is connected if the card has one.

I'm a little rusty for installing stuff-- as i haven't build anything in 3 years. Here is what I plugged in so far:

processor/heatsink
CPU fan spinning-- good to go
24 pin main power
pci-e power in
a single RAM stick-- 2GB DDR2-800

is there anything i have forgotten? Or am i just screwed because of the e8400 compatibility issues :(

yup, it's in. It's probably the bios. I have a workstation with a e4500 in it at work, I'll pick it up tomorrow and check it out. I should be able to just update the BIOS with that thing, and then plug the e8400 in. Unfortunately, I've already scrapped my gaming computer, so I'll just have to wait :P
