I am really worried. See sig. for spes. I dunno how, but I somehow OC'd to 333 x 9 = 3 GHz using ClockGen and I did NOT change any vCore temps. I did not have an options other than this damn board :(. HW Monitor shows my max temp. as 47C. Its kinda cold in my country now, so that could be the reason for low temps. Running stock cooler. Not much exp. with aftermarket ones. So now I'm worried about its life, maybe it'd just blow up one day!

I'll bet it wont be running very cool once you load down your cpu! Even if you never run at 100%, dont assume that it wont happen. If a virus or a rogue internet explorer or something like that gets ahold of your system, you dont want it frying your cpu or shutting down your system.

its your investment, if you want to play overclocking using stock heatsink then go ahead but you haven't considered load temperatures. my q6600@3.4ghz runs 32-34c idle and tops 56-58c load using prime95

Or maybe you could buy a $30 heatsink and play with it all you want.

But what are you doing that is CPU limited? A stock Q6600 should be able to handle pretty much everything just fine.

Personally, i'd never oc cpu with stock cooler. It's just asking for shortening cpu lifespan (or just blowing it up :p) I got Zalman CNPS9700 cooler, pretty damn good. It's expensive (90 CDN$), but you get what you pay for.
