Could I recycle that one to use on a home built PC? It is an AMD duel core 780G motherboard.

Thanks you guys!

Yes you could. You'd also need to order a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket to fit the 2.5" laptop drive inside the 3.5" HDD drive cage in your case.

Besides the bracket you do know you'd pay more and get less performance?
You could get a faster, less expensive 250GB 3.5 HDD or a faster & larger 320GB HDD for the same price 250-320GB HDD 2.5" and 3.5"

Yea, in fact many PCs are starting to get 2,5" HDDs instead of 3,5" HDDs, so they fit in a smaller case and also notebook HDDs require only 10% of the power required for 3,5" 7200rpm drives, which means there is no need for cooling while with 3,5" you always need some airflow to prevent the drive from building up heat.

Modern notebook drives are becoming faster quickly and also less expensive per GB. But they can never really compete with an SSD.
