Good: $300-350 price point
Surprisingly low heat (overclock potential)
Meets or exceeds the gx2 in a few tests (although poor game sli support is a cause)
Handily beats the 8800gt
3x sli
Bad:
Most tests ran without AA+AF
Limited by 512 memory
Loud fans
Large card
Mostly same tech as 8800

I'd like to see how an sli performs because the 9600GT scales really well.I hope that it won't cost much in ireland coz im in the market and will get an sli but if it costs €350 its not for me I'll just get an 8800GTS 512MB SLI.
That was crap... we already knew how it would perform at stock speeds... stock is not the selling point of this card.. it's the large overclocking potential. To skip that entirely is completely illogical.
I bet it costs £50 more here in Blighty than a GTS 512 so it's hardly worth the extra outlay. As others have said onlt Tri-SLI and the overclocking redeem this card compared to what's already out there.
however, I'll reserve final comment when I see some more benchies next week when the card is released.
