Due to motherboard processor support limitation I would like to know which is a better processor upgrade option the Intel Pentium 2.40GHZ/1MB cache or the 2.80GHZ/512KB cache.Which one do I buy? While selecting a processor what is more important the CPU speed or the cache? I have a Gigabyte MB(GA8VM533P) that supports max bus speed of 533MHZ.I do have system RAM 512+256 MB
DDR and ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB agp Card running XP.I donot wish to overclock the CPU or GPU.I only use multi tab windows while surfing and gaming activity. No multi tasking.

What is your current CPU? If its close to 2ghz your not going to get sufficient gain for money. My recommendation would be to wait for some more cash and do a proper upgrade (new mobo ram cpu and gpu)
