I'm presently runnin a PD 915@ 800 MHz FSB. I'm also hooked to the 945G chipset that supports the Core 2 duo CPU. My question is can I upgrade to the,say E-8500 @ 1333MHz FSB.???? or do I have to stay with the 800MHz FSB versions???? What governs the FSB???? My MOBO specs say nothing of the core2 duo being applicable,But the 945G chipset supports it. What to do???? I have the latest BIOS Update which I believe supports Core2 duo.
Thanks again.

highly unlickly that bios supports it - look it up or contact the mobo vender tech support

945g chipset is low fsb chipset - depends on the mobo maker

wrong cpu, try 800mhz core 2 - named pentium such as the 2180
