Low performance system... Help!

Hello everyone. I would like your help on this.
You can check my system specs on my profile. I've seen on the net, a system with the same cpu and a 4850 making around 9300 3DMARK06 points while mine (all on stock) makes around 8200. What's the deal?? Isn't this a bit low for a system like mine?? I have some heating issues as it seems (idling at 45 degrees). Could the CPU be throtling down? Can you recommend some piece of software that logs temp? I have coretemp and that other program (hardware...something) but these just show the temps on the spot. I need something like the rivatuner monitor, but with cpu also. (maybe there's a way to add a gauge that show cpu temp as well?)

Speed fan will monitor temps.
Get a good HSF like the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, or the XIGMATEK HDT-S1284EE and XIGMATEK ACK-I7753 Retention Bracket For 4 heatpipes.
Also move the computer to the coolest part of the house.
