new memory stick for my old mobo plz help!!

i need to add memory to a very old mobo my friend got
the mobo of MSI can support 2.5-2.8 voltage of memory
all module of memory that work with that voltages will be fine for my old mobo (as long as it DDR400mhz or less ofcours)?????
