Hello Gentlemen,

I am currently looking at upgrading CPU's / boards. Now I was all for the popular 2500K i5 combo on tigerdirect, when I found a 3570k i5 for 5$ more. Is there any question on the 3570K is better? I understand the sale ends today, but with similar boards the processor seems superior? Is there something I am missing? Is max turbo make a huge difference?

$349.98 with the bundled board. (Scroll down to frequently bought together)

$354.99

When I look at the boards seperate the MSI retails $149.99 ($15) rebate & ASUS $139.99 ($10) rebate.

So your getting a better board and a better processor for $5? if this is true it might be a good buy for anyone.

Appreciate any feedback as I would need to purchase asap.

Cheers,

-Jay

Go for it !! :)

The only issue with IB is that they can't OC as insanely high as SB, but they make up for that with a slight 5% better IPC:) Plus the 3570k has a much lower power consumption too. If i were u, i'd gladly spend that $5 :D
