I plan to purchase the E2160.

The article only mention the E2180 & E2200 will get a reduction..Do you know if the E2160 will get it as well? Look like a $10 price cut though..

If it doesnt come down it should end up being dearer than the e2180 anyways.
 
And you do realise that it will take time for the price cuts to filter to the consumer.

No, I don't think it will see a Price Cut.
They may even stop taking orders for them.

If your waiting, just get an E7200 when it comes out in May.  That will be a god deal for an OC CPU

My local computer store doesn't sell the E2140 because it's only $1 cheaper than E2160. After price cut E2180 should be roughly same as E2160..so maybe E2160 will be drop also. As for when the price will be filter to consummer..that I don't know..We will see next week!
 
The PC is for someone else, and only use to surf the web/view video..so no need for E7200 but I am aware the Wolfdale is great in power saving.
