I PLUG IN MY SATA HDD TO MY EXTERNAL UNIVERSAL IDE SATA ADAPTOR
AND MY THE POWER SUPPLY AREA AT THE BACK OF MY HARD DRIVE SMELLS BURNT CAUSING MY HDD NOT TO POWER UP

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO GET IT WORKING LIKE CHANGING THE CIRCUIT BOARD ON THE HARD DRIVE?
