Is S1283 Heavy?

I'm planning to get the Xigmatek S1283 Red Scorpion, and if I were to install my mobo vertically (onto my antec nine hundred), will the Xigmatek heatsink be secured in its place?

On the other hand, the whole thing looks heavy, and will it bend my mobo over time? Do I need to purchase anything extra to have the S1283 secure in place?

Buy the retention bracket, and it is huge and heavy.

I currently have it in my CM690 (where it fits comfortably) using the push pins. Save your self a headache and use the retention brackets!

it's 600grams, i would just get the retention bracket... to be absolutely sure, or if you are lazy, just use push pins

I don't think it's that heavy... My tuniq weighs 800 grams

is retention bracket and the crossbow back plate the same thing? Like this http://www.i-tech.com.au/products/30332_Xigmatek_Crossbow_I7751_Back_Plate.aspx ? Is will work for the HDT-s1283 wouldn't it?

On the other hand, will the thermal grease that comes with the S1283 good enough? Or is it advisable to get a more expensive thermal paste like artic silver 5?
