Did another thing and the temps are lower!

Hello all :) hope u are all fine :)
Well i used to OC and adjust the fan speed with a guide in GURU3D.COM i used this method alot but when i got RIVATUNER 2.08 today (to replace the 2.06 versionn that i had) i couldnt do it because it has some parts that the RIVATUNER that GURU3D used didnt have (GURU3D used RIVATUNER 2.0) so i could adjust the fan speeds well.So i couldnt OC the card any more

When i had RIVATUNER 2.06 with my OCZ 8800GTX @ 612/1080(=8800ULTRA) my idle temp was 59c and the max temp was 77c

Today i googled and found a great article:
http://www.vaguesoft.com/index.php?pageid=rt207
now my idle temp remains @ 59c but the max temp never goes more than 72c now

Yeah, that is pretty normal. My 8600GT that is always OC'd sits at about 50C idle. I would imagine the GTX is inherently a bit hotter than any 8600 series card.

I have two overclocked 8800 GTS 640's and they currently idle at 45 and 48 degrees C. One gets above 67 at load. I have their fans ramped up and in an Antec 900 going full boar. Sounds like a freight train, but I don't mind.
