Hey people. The last time I updated my machine it was a 3.2ghz processor on an ASUS P4P800E-Deluxe with an XFX 6600GT. That just won't do any more and I need another toy.

The good 8800GT video cards are now cheap so I am looking to get one of those. I would prefer an ASUS motherboard but I am willing to compromise. I am not looking to have the biggest, fastest, meanest games machine on the planet but I do want to be able to play the same games that they can.

If anyone has a board or boards in mind then please let me know.

Cheers!

ASUS P5K-E Wifi is a great board, especially if you plan on overclocking. It's not horrible expensive either at about $150

Also the Gigabyte equivalent, Gigabyte P35-DS3L, is a little cheaper at about $100. Doesn't quite match the ASUS in OCing but a great board nonetheless.

Thanks Lucuis. Hopefully I will have a games machine up and ready in time for the PC release of GTA IV (if it ever happens???)

Cheers!
