I am a little confused about the memory requirements for the board. Gigabyte specs the memory requirement at 1.8v. However when I look for that memory it all seems have high timings - 5 or higher. The memory I would like to purchase - Crucial Ballistix - has timings of 4-4-4-12 and it is available at a good price. But it is listed at 2.2v. I was about to give up on it when I found it was listed on the board's compatible memory list for 1GB sticks. Go figure. Do you know if this means I will be able to simply plug it in and it should work fine, or will I need to change some settings?

it will work but not at the 4-4-4-12 settings, you just need to go to the bios and bump up the voltage. (i have ballistix and ds3l too ;o)

I assume you are saying I need to change the voltage setting in the bios to 2.2. You also said the 4-4-4-12 settings do not work - will these change automatically when I adjust the voltage setting?
