Pc power box makes a weird noise when pc is off

Ok so i have a windows xp with an intel atom inside. its an all in one pc from averatec. when ever i turn off my computer the power box makes a really weird and annoying buzzing sound. I unplugged it and the sound was gone, plugged it back in and the sound cam back. so whenever i turn off my computer i unplug the power box. Will this break the power box? why does the power box make a weird buzzing sound? please reply.

the power supply is going bad. your best bet is to try and get it RMA'd under warranty.

i am buliding a cpu and the power box was from a paxkard bell and thats the cases name but when i hookeb up the box it sparked and died

why?????????????????
