The title says it all.. I have one EVGA Superclocked 8800 GTS and would like to get opinions on SLI'ing it.

I can pick up another one for about $130.00 US and didn't know what to look for. I'm kinda bored right now with my computer and don't want to build yet. Just looking for one last upgrade....

Specs -

5200 X2 - 3.03 GHz
2GB Ram
Hiper 580 PSU
EVGA 590 SLI mobo

IF a good idea, will the PSU meet the requirements?

Thanks!

PSU should be fine, but its not really a good idea, unless u can find another card REALLY cheap.

U still end up with 320Mb ram, and sli can complicate things.
Not all games like it, u get extra heat/power consumption and installation can be difficult. Then u are stuck with 2 below average cards in a year or 2 when u look to sell.

See what u can sell your card for and how much u will need to put in to get an 8800GT

They are ~$300AUD atm, if you could sell your card for 100-150 that would be a WAY better option.

Performance wise sli-ing 320mb gts would give 30% boost, the same as a single 512 mb gts. And if you could sell your gts at 100 bucks, the cost of a 512 mb gts would be same as sli-ing 320mb. I would say go 512mb.

Is there any charts where I can see what performance I'll get with SLI with a similar system? Dunno if that's the best option.
