I'm buying a nForce 780i and I want 4gb of RAM with 1066MHz or faster but which ones can I buy that are compatible with that Board.

Visit the manufacturer website and check. All manufacturers maintain a list for ram.

That doesn't help me. The nForce 780i Memory list only says it supports 2gb kits only but the Board says it can hold 8gb. So can someone please explain thx.

That means 2gigs for one stick and you can have up to four sticks witch equals 8gigs. I am running the EVGA 780i with 4gigs of PC8500 1066 (2x 2gigs sticks). What processor are you running?

Also remember you can only use DDR2 in the 780i, if you want to use DDR3 go with the 790i
