i never had to buy one so I have no clue what to look for......
I have my own PC hooked up to the Modem via a Ethernet Cable. My laptop has a Wireless Card built in. Since I completely upgraded my PC I have my old PC available for my 9 year old daughter.
What kind of Card would I have to buy for her to go Online? Her PC has a Asus P5N-D MOBO. I guess a PCI Card? Which one recommended?
I have internet service with Telus (Canada) and the modem is a 2Wire Gateway Wireless.
Is there a way to limit the Wireless devices so as not to degrade the online gaming performance for my PC? What hardware would be required?
PCI is the best choice unless you're allergic to screwdrivers, in which case USB.
Brandwise the real choice is between famous brands and no-names. The latter should work fine as all devices use a small pool of chipsets, but the brands promise ongoing support.
