This may sound stupid, but I have a GeForce 6100 motherboard and I am wondering if it is possible, with a BIOS upgrade or something, to make it compatible with an E8400 CPU. If not, any suggestions for a good, compatible CPU in that price range?

EDIT: Does anyone know of a good CPU compatible with the GeForce 6100 motherboard?

bad move, high fsb cpus are bad with nvidia crappy hot chipsets
 
use a low fsb of 1066 or 800
 
i doubt its compatible since only newe nvidia chipsets support 45nm

It is indeed an AMD chipset, but i think i have settled on the 6000+ from AMD. Thanks for your help and time, though.
