I want to get this mobo, but I'm reading about a lot of ram problems with this board. I want 4gb (2x2gb) ram and have a question. I heard that 4-4-4-12 timing is the best but want to know does it really matter? I heard that there is a lot of problems with this board and 4gb of 4-4-4-12 timing. Thanks. Also can someone recommend me RAM for under $80.

I have this mobo, and right now I'm using OCZ RAM on it, and it's doing fine.  This Mobo supports DDR2 1066, but you might want to check the Gigabyte website to see what RAM is supported at 1066.  I've seen 4GB OCZ platinum DDR2 800Mhz RAM for $79.99 with MIR.
I'm not sure where your looking but I found it on http://www.ncix.com.  Hope that helps.

Isn't there a 2 DS3L out right now?  The new one is like DS3L-EP35 or something.  Newegg is selling both.

Yeah here is the new one:

$10 cheaper than the old one, does it have native support for 45nm now?

I am trying to decide what RAM to purchase for DS3L too.  I want to get this Crucial Ballistix memory off the approved list:

It has low 4-4-4-12 timings and it on sale.  However it is 2.2v memory and the DS3L specs say 1.8 memory.  Why would Gigabyte approve memory with a different voltage?

Would I need to reset the voltage in the BIOS?  I noted that all the 1.8v memory had timings of 5-5-5-15 or higher.  Would I then also need to reset the timings?
