Well turns out my sound card is fried (which also means the USB ports are too) so now I have to find an ExpressCard that comes with USB ports and then a USB sound card.
My question is, is there such thing as a sound card that ONLY has a headphone jack and built-microphone? I don't need a webcam. I pretty much just want what my sound card provided for me the cheapest way possible. I'm just a poor college student. ):
