I am putting together a server and it will not power up. I checked the power supply on another machine, and it works fine. Oddly enough, if the clear cmos jumper is in the open position, the PSU and CPU fans come on. The motherboard is a Tyan S5382, 16 gigs of ram, 1000w Silverstone PSU, onboard video, onboard sound. 1TB WD HD. Any suggestions?

Try the boot with 4Gb or less (sometimes Tyan is flaky) then see about a BIOS flash. I'd say replace the CMOS Battery (about $5 at RadioShack/BB/CC)

Take a picture, lets see this thing. Double check your cables, AUX power cables especially. Take out all but 1 stick of ram and any cards so its just video and power plugged in, 1 stick of ram. it should then post.
