as far as power supply's go, 60 dollars is cheap. and also, it will BE cheap. for a good quality power supply count on paying over 100.00. the chances of the lower quality ones failing over time is quite high

They're cheap PSU's for a reason
If you could get away with buying a cheap n nasty PSU for high quality components then we'd all be doing it wouldnt we?

Well that $60 is certified somehow and its not over $100 , so it looks like a good choice .

I think ill be ordering that PSU and the msi 9600 GT , thats $274.08 shipped , thanks for all your help

The Earthwatts 500W is excelent for $60 shipped. With 34 amps ont he 12v, it will power just about any single card with possible exception of the 2900XT?

If you want to stay cheap, you can get a 8800GS for $110 AR and an Earthwatts 380W for $30AR. That is $140 shipped after two rebates, for a card faster than any GF79xx, and a Seasonic made PSU to power it. You can't beat that combo for the price.

BTW, an 8800GS is very close to 9600GT performance, so you are getting alot for $110.

Highly recommend the VX550W. It powers my system like a champ. Although it can spool up pretty quickly during hardcore gaming but I think my components draws for power than yours.
