- Memory – (4x1GB) Corsair DDR2 TWIN2X2048-8500C5 @ 5-5-5-15

- Motherboard – Gigabyte P35-DS3P Motherboard

- PowerSupply – ThermalTake W0131 850W ToughPower + CABLE MANAGEMENT

- Hard Drive – WD 150GB Raptor (Single) Vista64 + Nexus Titanium Drive-A-Way Internal Hard Disk Enclosure + 3 400GB

- Case - Cooler Master CM-690 Dominator + 3 120 mm standard fans

hi all just need some help setting it up please , do they sound right
i had 5.9 on my ram in vista but its gone down to 5.8 ? all the rest are 5.9 even with out the o/c
and i get 12074 in 3dmark06 dose that sound about right or should it be more ?

QX6700 is a waste if it's not overclocked. The X is begging for it. Holler if you wanna overclock.

Burn iso to floppy/cd/dvd & reboot:

http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

Press CTRL-ALT-DEL in bios. Try 8 x 400 = 3.2ghz. Leave all voltages on AUTO. Save & exit. If memtest passes 1 test, reboot & try 8 x 450, etc. You'll need good cpu cooling. Even though you ram can do 1066mhz, your mobo may not. You can try 7 x 500 = 3.5ghz.

Leave ram at 5-5-5-15@2T@2.1v. Default is 1.8v. So +0.3v.

hi thanks for that but ive just tryed all the settings you serjested but when i save them in the bios and reboot the pc starts to boot then hesitates before booting up but the bios resets with different settings , but it seems ok when i use (12x 266Mhz) ?

It's fine at your speed.

I think the vcore & vfsb & vmch should be a bit higher for my settings.
