Hi

Am thinking of building a top spec system and want some advice:

Coolermaster Stacker (already got)
850w power supply
2 x 8800gtx Graphics Cards (768mb)
Q9550 CPU
MB-N790-IUL9, NF790i Ultra 3 Way SLi MCP, S775, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 1066/2000/800, SATA II (xfx m/b)
4GB (2x2GB) CorsairTwinX XMS3, DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600),240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, DHX
Creative Soundblaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer PCI 7.1 Channel

Spare no expense. The only drawback is I don't get to play with it. :D

Where are the DVD writer & hard disk(s)?

http://processorfinder.intel.com/d [...] spec=slawq

1600 / 2 = 800 * 8.5 = 6800 or 6.8ghz theoretical overclock.

$100 bucks say you can't. Unless you got LN2/DICE/phase.

My guess is on air the cpu can hit up to 4.2 safely:

500 x 8.5 = 4250

Or conservatively:

400 x 8 = 3.2 ghz probably on the stock cooler

Where's the aftermarket cpu cooler? How much can you spend on one?

What is the use of the machine?

Get a 64 bit OS or your 4GB of ram will go to waste.

This one is pretty good. About the same as TRUE. 19 vs 32 quid.

The rest are good.
