doncha just hate it after all the waiting and pffft,,now then,,are you absolutely certain that all your power and data cables/ribbons are firmly connected,,???motherboard properly mounted and suchlike,,if everything is so ,,,then,,,you are going to have to remove it all from the case and setup out side said case,,,with just the basics ,,ie,ram, and video and a floppy, as i have said before when you or i get a snafu we have to go back to basics, that is the only procedure for checking out the faults either yours or your installation,,it seems that all your hardware is new?? so we are forced to conclude that there is an installation fault, the fact that you are not getting a bios beep is suggestive of some kind of hardware failure/bad connection, one little thing did you connect the 4pin 12volt connector to the mobo, goes near the cpu??
What have you already tried, to get it working? I would suggest checking everything, and try disconnecting everything, but the ram, PSU, GPU, CPU with heat sink, and monitor, and see what happens. If nothing, then take the mobo out and put on cardboard, and try again with the same set up and see if there is a change.
thanks for your guys repplys i think i connected all the wires this is my first build so i dont know everything and by the 4pin 12 volt do you mean the cpu fan and i got a 8 pin 12 volt by the cpu. and i try taking it out and putting it on the mobo box whic is cardboard im thinking the mobo is doa but red light on indicates its getting power and im not to sure of all the plugs i bet there a little plug i forgot but i cant figure it out and ya all my parts are new except hardrive and cd drive and video card
I'm guessing ur rams are 1 x 2gig right? If so they are connected properly. Like Dokk said don't forget to plug the 12V connector near the CPU. I don't know if you have a another video card you could try but id check that next. Also make sure ur PSU switch in the back is at 115V.
ya 1 2gb gskill ram and my psu dont have that voltage switch and also i dont have another pci-e card i dont have no beeps or anything so i cant do that omg im getting frustrated =/
i think i know the problem i have to do something with the jumpers but i cant find anything in my manual about it unless its a high tech word in manual
OK EJ101, take a deep breath. OK first most motherboards come with there jumpers, so check the packaging. Check and see if there is anything on reseting the BIOS or CMOS in your manual, that's usually were using at least one jumper comes in. Second take the mobo out of the case and put it on cardboard, and just connect what's need for a barebones test (PSU, GPU, CPU, RAM, and monitor), this will help you narrow down the possible problems, and let you get a better look at the motherboard and it's connections.
Make sure the power is connected properly by the manual. You can usually start the mobo out in the open by crossing the two pins, for the power button, with a screw driver or pin. If you don't see anything on the display with it out like that, with just what's needed to test with then, something there isn't working like it should.
