trying to install windows vista ultimate 64 onto raid system(motherboard- software based?)
raid 10 system, and it does not see 4 hardrive system i set up. all hdds are new
does hdds new pins liek to make them primariry or secondary or slave/ master

What raid controller are you using? Intel?

If so, Vista should see the array with no trouble at all. You definitely don't have to mess with master or slave (which doesn't even exist with SATA). If it isn't Intel, you may have to load RAID drivers during the install process, which can be done easily via a USB drive.

it does no show any drives in the window to install windows to, im not shure what i did wrong
previously it was showing that disk boot failture, insert system disk
now with licenced cd i got it loads up to the point of asking where or to load drivers
i have set up
ga-ma790fx-dss f2
phenomen 9800
new sata2 WD caviar 4 hdd in raid 10 configuration
raid bios 2.5.1540.36

did you hit f6 or what ever button to install the raid drivers? did you stick the floppy in with the drivers?

i did, i had downloaded drivers from gigabyte webpage, still zero.
i had gaved idea of raid on this system, i wil do it on next
