I was wondering, when you make a system restore does it save the save info as when you export your whole registry,i regularly export my reg. replacing it as i make new ones over the months, is this way an alternative to system restore or is SR a better way as i sometimes find im unable to restore after i have problems.

System restore includes a backup of the registry. Often times it's really the only real change that matters.

It can't hurt anything to do it, and better than not having a backup. Oddly enough many people are having issues when system restore does not work, wonder what's causing that.
