More Information

I recently did a fresh install of Windows XP MC edition 2005.

Now, among many other problems, Creative Audio Console won't start, saying it cannot find the audio device. Add Hardware says my card is installed and working properly. So go to device manager, and there is an exclamation point next to Game Port for Creative and it says "this device cannot start" with a " Code 10".

I downloaded the latest Creative drivers when I did the install of XP because I dont have the original CD from the card which I bought about 6 months ago. The card worked fine until I did the fresh XP install and applied the latest drivers.

Any advice? I am having several other problems with XP, every time I reboot my comp many of the Windows Services don't start and I can't even use the internet unless I manually start the Services. So I dont know if the issue is the latest Creative drivers or XP.

Any advice would be appreciated
