I would like to read some reviews of TV if anyone has links. I have heard
it is quicker, does that mean there is less strategy than there was in
Tribes 2? Even though I wasn't under command, I really enjoyed helping my
team encroach on the enemy base, to defend our generators, and otherwise
play a useful role as part of the tribe. Are there any playing online yet?
.... TIA

I like what they have done, i'd say it is one of the best games of the year.
I think it has just been made more accessable (than Tribes1 & 2)really.
Straight forward, and much less messing about. It runs on a mid system very
well too. One thing I personally rank games on is floaties. If you don't
feel like you are there, reactions slow, clumbsy etc. Tribes V is rock
solid, and feels very natural. I'm sure i'll be playing this for a looong
time. It all depends on how good HL2 is : D

After playing Tribes, T2, and the T:V beta/demo (both SP and MP) I found
myself standing in front of the game boxes at CompUSA last week.

I walked away empty handed.

I think that's the bottom line for having a chance at success.

How's multiplayer? So far, I have had a difficult time using GameSpy. Is
GameSpy the interface for online play, or is the interface for online play
like it was for Tribes 2? Thanks.

50/50
Some of the time you can have a really good game and thoroughly enjoy the
experience.
The remainder of the time its a quake style fraghunt.

Try before you buy.

This is the first FPS my wife has ever enjoyed. Initially, she liked
the intellectual strategy required in setting up defenses. Now she
likes to midair disk people!

She played Halo 2 last night and quit after a half hour ...

Some of the vehicles are really good, and significantly more manoeuverable.

It's a bit tricky taking down one of the fighters though

Put "(MA)" in your buddy list. The buddy list works with partial strings,
like tags. Jump on our TeamSpeak at ts2.matureasskickers.net, password
"integrity" and join the TV MP channel. We usually have a few people on.
With any luck our pub has a full crew on.

That's weird. I see both of the accounts you signed up and they look like
they have reasonable settings. I'll pass this on to our forum guru and see
what he has to say.

Ok, just looked up how this is set up. You should be able to see one forum,
"Aloha". Post one time to that and the rest of our public forums should
become visible. I created the Aloha forum originally because there were so
many "hello" and "goodbye" threads that I decided to collect them all in
one place.

Ok, both accounts are gone now. Go for it.
