Hey all. I decided to upgrade my computer finally and I am getting

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 PSU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059 Mobo

Either E8400 or Q6600 for the CPU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003 CPU Cooler

Now I can't decide about the RAM.

First of all I am going to use XP 32bit OS so I don't even know if 4GB is even worth it (even though the prices are really low atm)

Also, I want to overclock my CPU.

I looked at these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122 they are perfect for my budget.

If I use 4 GB on my 32 bit OS, I know it won't recognize it all (Have a 8800 GTS 512), but will it still run in dual channel? I've seen some cases in which 3GB or so performs worse than 2GB. (I will play cod 4, crysis, world in conflict)

Thanks.

Would anyone think that they are good for my purposes? (There's tighter timing memory like 4 4 4 12 but it's 20 dollars more.. but I don't think it is worth it. Do you?

If you have the money go for the tighter timings. But I have a friend who uses that the same GSkill ram and he has had no issues with it. If it were me I would spend 20 more dollars on some PC8500 with the same timings, becuase if you go with the E8400 it will give you more room to OC. You won't go wrong either way. The PC6400 GSkill you have chosen will suit your needs.

Well from his post it looks as if he want to play games. The E8400 would be a better choice. But maybe he needs to do some video ED/REN, if so go with the quad.
