Those sneaky Chinese always getting their reviews out first

This is another review, written in English to boot!: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/ [...] index.html
I really wish they had tested Tri-SLI on a 790i with DDR3, but for an advance review TweakTown does a pretty good job.

so SLI makes some sense, but 3waySLI is totally useless...

well in some benchmark shows the 3 way sli will have another performance boost over sli.but in some benchmark show memory is also important.like call of jaures the 3870x2 CF have 2GB in total memory.in1920xAA it beat the trl sli 9800gtx which only have 1.5GB.i guess memory also matters.

no nono, it doesn't work like that, it only matters how much memory each core has for itself. The combined total memory is pretty irrelevant

wow, hd3850x2 beats the hd3870x2 and the 9800gtx beats the x2 and nearly matches x2 crossfire, how is that possible? the gtx is only slower in 1920x1200 2aa. And since the hd3870x2 sucks at CoD4 and the gtx is a lot cheaper i'm getting that instead.

Ati are awful

Nvidia have the fastest single GPU card, fastest multiGPU single card, and the fastest multi card configurations.

Ah yes, the real review is here: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3275

I hope whatever issues they were having with Tri-SLI + 790i aren't present on the retail boards. High wattage on-line UPSs are expensive...

I love how anadtech and tweaktown use a whole suite of games (2) to test the cards.  Toms and the chinese site seem to have the most meat in their reviews so far.

The 3850x2 actually looked like it will undercut sales of the 3870x2.

For the AnandTech review they tested Crysis, CoD4, Oblivion, Quake Wars, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. How that adds up to 2 I don't know :??:

The Tom's review is good, although not nearly as insightful as the AT one.

Ah, yeah I stand corrected :). . . I looked at the quick link thing at the opening screen and only seen crysis.  I don't like the graphs they use at AT though, would be easier to read and compare if they were bar graphs.

Yea those line graphs suck. I just appreciate them testing Tri-SLI on a 790i board. 790i seems to be much better than previous Nvidia chipsets; too bad it's only for DDR3 :(
