Ntldr is compressed

I have a e machines laptop, It will not start, it just goes onto a black screen and says NTRDL file is compressed Press ctrl alt and delete to restart...When i do this it just goes back on to the same....Any ideas, greatly appreciated

Well, being a netbook, this should be interesting. I know that on a normal computer, when ive heard of this problem before. You hook up the hard drive to another computer as a "slave" (secondary) drive. And under properties for the drive, there is a "compress files to save disc space" option which needs to be de-selected. Because its a netbook, i know that removing the drive is almost completely out of the question. How long have you had the computer?
