I found what I thought was a good deal last night on a ZeroTherm VGA cooler. $14 after $10 rebate. It should be here in a few days.

My question to the forum is this:

I have never removed a stock cooler on a Video card before. Is there anything you have to be careful of? The side of my Sapphire x1950GT seems like it has doublesided tape inbetween the cooler and the ram. Does any special care have to be taken when you remove the cooler?

Do you just unscrew the screws, unplug the fan power cable and just lift the cooler straight up?

What do you recommend for a cleaner to remove the old paste? Can you use alcohol or certain household cleaners?
