I have DDR2 1066 and I'm thinking of buying two more gigs of the same thing only DDR2 800. It's Crucial Ballistic Tracer.  I admit buying DDR2 1066 instead of 800 was a mistake, but would it really matter in my Gigabyte P35 DSL.  DDR2 800 is 30 to 40 dollars cheaper.

Should be fine - Just understand that your settings will be the lowest common denominator between the two.

The worst part of my Vista 64 experience is having to listen to all of the individuals who apparently feel it's their 'Grand Mission In Life' to tell me about all of the things that (supposedly) don't work, when it *does* work.

I don't see how buying the 1006 was a mistake; its faster rated RAM.  But yes, shouldn't really matter unless you try OC'ing.  That many DIMMs don't usually place nice when overclocking, at least to high levels.  Moderate OC might be OK.

I'm sure I probably could have probably made the same overclock with value ddr2 800 ram after i had a good overclock with some cheap wintec on a friends system.  I have e2180 @3.1 with 1.4 volts.

My real debate is 2 more gig of Crucial Balistic Tracer ddr2 800 or Crucial Balistic Tracer ddr2 1066 about 30 to 40 dollars difference.

I may get the 1066 so it will match.

60 dollars just sounds like a better deal than 90 something.

There is a lot of talk about vista 64.  Is it worth it.  I hear you need more memory and is the 64 bit Vista compatible with 32 bit programs.  It may be obvious answer but anythings possible these days.
