what should i get as they are similiar prices? I could get another X2 when it comes down in price,

bear in mind i am getting a nforce790i motherboard and my monitor's resolution only goes up to 1680 by 1050

Id go only 1 GTX, at that res you wont need sli or gtx2. Then if some games come out where youll need it, go for the secong gtx, at a lower price. The single is cooler, can oc better, and in SLI it slightly outperforms the gx2

also consider that the only games i am bothered about for the PC are Far Cry 2 and crysis

i tend to play my 360 for other games

For crysis you'll need the second gtx to play it at reasonable framerates. Dunno about far cry 2. It's not based on the crysis engine so it's unclear how well it will run.
