i'm building a server box  obviously trying to keep costs as low as possible
 
    LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DH-20A4P-04    $23.99
    MSI P6NGM-L LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce7050 / nForce610i Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail     $49.99
    Intel Pentium E2160 Allendale 1.8GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80557E2160    $69.99  
    2x1gb cruicial ballistic ddr2 800
 
now i just need a cheap case and psu.  smaller the better but cheap is key.  no overclocking just running a http server etc

Well, I have had some BAD experience with MSI.  Try this board,

cheaper, same performance.  
This is a case from a quality brand, Coolermaster.  Its $50, including a 350watt PSU that is from a name brand at least.

Since your not overclocking, for your price range, look at AMD, I've got an AMD Athlon 5200+ dual core, and it runs very cool, price is good as well.
