i bought new 2 GB OCZ pc 3200 ram for my desktop and installed it my computer recognizes the ram but i dont see the difference in the speed of my programs in fact i feel the programs are slower than before. can any one help me here

listing the specs of your computer would help. and also the type and speed of ram that you have had before.

unless you were using really crap ram you are not going to see much speed improvement,nor should you expect to,what you will see is that you can run??,,,more programs concurrently and,,some,,apps might load a little faster,,nontheless,,you should do a thorough defrag,and clean the junk out of your registry,,,with 2 gig of ram windoze will usually want to give you 2.5 g of pagefile,,you might want to consider managing this your self,,,
myself i put the pagefile on it's own little partition,thus i never have to,defrag it,and it never gets chopped up and spread all over hell's half acre,plus there are reg utilities to limit the usage of the pagefile by windoze,,thus speeding things along slightly,"every little bit,,, etc"...:)
