War of the Worlds, the original Starwars games, etc. The objects were 2d
vector sprites, with the exception of the enviroment.

so tribes, you think, was written in the 1970s in basic on an apple ii, then
held in a warehouse for 27 years untill it was released in 1998 to the acclaim
of multiple 'game of the year' awards... hmmm.... also, you realize tribes is
an open source game, so if you know anything at all about programing look at
the code to disprove your own moronic theorys....

open source? i heard the only people who had the source code are some garage
games people or sierra.
